Extraordinary vegetarian experience: Baroo, Verse, elsewhere?

Looking for a nice place for a special dinner. I’ve heard great things about the vegetarian options at Baroo and Verse. Any thoughts about either, and how they might compare?

Or any other outstanding options?

Never heard of Verse.

Definitely yes to Baroo.

Other suggestions are Vespertine and Meteora (with advance notice).

Gjelina 100% but slightly less so in the winter

We really like Au Lac. Favorite dishes:

Fried shrimp (konjac) appetizer
Fried mushrooms
Rice noodles with veggie sausage (gluten based)
Raw “ito burrito” (Peony doesn’t like this though; only for certain palates)
Raw curry wild rice with macadamia and avocado

I’d also consider Le Comptoir.

Chef Gary (Le Comptoir) works magic with our local produce bounty - So effing delicious…

I would add that Shunji’s vegetable dishes are fantastic as well, but that those dishes are included as parts of an otherwise omnivorous (and tasty) omakase…
