Lunch at Yong Su San the other day. Seated in one of the private rooms. Very elegant and tranquil except for the telephone ringer buzzing Für Elise every five minutes.
We were offered only the one set menu. There was also an a la carte menu.

sinseollo: this dish is why I ended up here, saw it on K-Foodie Meets J-Foodie the other week but this was nothing like the crazy thing they got. Delicate, subtle, healthy-feeling.

jeon: shrimp was lovely, the other (mung bean?) was a bit undercooked

black cod: for my taste the radish could have been cooked more, but great anyway
short rib: this was just OK, if I were to go again I’d choose the braised
chose nurungji because I was thinking crunchy, should have realized it would be wilted in hot water. If I were to go again I’d choose the rice and soup or cold noodle.
Punch was delicious. Apricot and I forget what else.
It was a reasonable amount of food, took most of the beef, a lot of the kimchi, and a bit of the jellyfish, polished off the rest. This place deserves more business: good food, different dishes, unique experience.
