Walk up access to Prime at 730. Great place for me to stop by for a quick slice before my commute home…
Wow, you have been to Prime more times since they’ve opened than I have been to Pizza Wagon, where live just a few blocks away
LOL, you are a champion.
Yes the bottom slice seems to have a pepperoni shortage on the right side from the basil down to the crust. Don’t VIPs at Prime get taken care of?
The location is absurdly convenient, and unlike Pizza Wagon street parking is no problem. (yes I know PW has a parking lot but it’s even tinier than Prime’s minuscule parking lot). Now that the hype crowds have disappeared it’s just too easy to get a quick slice.
I can see the future for Prime Pizza Burbank, and the future is 90% delivery.
Your pizza diet appears to be working quite well. Congratulations! However I am waiting for more of your great discoveries in the neighborhood…
I was actually getting worried about you, since I did not see a pizza post today. Thank you for putting my mind at ease.
I want to try to convince my team to go there tomorrow.
Back at my other home away from home today. Pro tip: they have a different fish sauce full of garlic and birds eye chili’s if you want a danker fish sauce.
What time were you there? I had lunch there today and sat at the bar. As per your excellent suggestions I had a pork banh mi with a perfectly cooked fried egg added. So very good and didn’t have to drive up to Sherman Way to get it!
I was at the bar around 1215. I usually camp on the right side near the restroom.
I almost had the banh mi…it’s truly excellent.
What is the name of that restaurant, please?
Lotus & Light in Burbank/Toluca Lake
Yep I came in right after you had finished. I was the graying white guy sitting on the left side of the bar. You apparently are a regular as the wonderful staff were engaged in pleasant repartee with you. Next time I will recognize you!
Def say hi next time! I’m there about once a week. Used to be more until Prime Pizza opened up.
back to back weekends trying out both Pablito’s and Angels…think I’m sticking to Manzano and Salsa & Beer from now on.
Pablito’s - I don’t know wtf it is with their tortillas but they are awful for me. They remind me of rehydrated fritos that are then molded into tortillas and griddled.
Angels - A particularly bad night in Sylmar where the line just slowed to a crawl, resulting in asada dying in steam bins. What made this noteworthy was the real lack of safe food handling skills, even for a street stand. In the 30 mins that I wanted in line, I saw the man on the grill use the same gloves the entire time. During that time I saw him - handle raw meat and cooked meat back and forth, handled the salsa tubs (both the metal serving ones and the plastic 5 gallon-ish ones), handled the plastic water tub for the steam table, eat a quesadilla, and wipe his [gloved] hands several times on the wipe rag. The wipe rag was then placed on the parking lot light pole. There must be meat juice on every fucking thing there.
At least he isn’t taking better care of himself than he does the customers??? That’s all SO gross…
