Shhh… maybe he doesn’t know the main ingredient in tartar sauce is mayo.
Oh yes, I’ll remain hush… ![]()
The home-DIY version with a an extra crispy hash brown that I seasoned with salt and pepper. I put everything inside a toasted brioche bun that I hallowed out a little to make room for more tartar sauce.
I quite enjoyed it. Now I know what the fuss is all about. Thanks, all!
Are those the Trident Seafood fish sticks from Costco?
Looks really good!
They are indeed. They are my favorite fish stick…you don’t even need to season them extra.
Awesome!
I was at Costco today and I stood there, eyeballing the Trident Beer Battered filets… amazing for a frozen product… but I need to get back to lo-carb.
(After FoF season, of course)
fwiw I found the fish sticks far superior to the beer battered filets
I’m picking up the beer battered box next time for these FoF and FoHB experiments. But maybe after seeing @Ns1’s note, maybe not.
Really? Ok, gotta try them… have to get over my Panko hatred. I like the thickness of the filets.
@attran99 The fillets are thick, not like those Gortons or other brands where the breading is thick and the fish is thin. I think thicker than FoF.
All from @attran99’s kitchen (including hash brown) and nothing from McD? You go gurl.
@TheCookie you are too kind. Store bought and constructed/assembled at home because I haven’t eaten at the Golden Arches in over a decade. I like the tartar sauce from my supplier (The Original Fish Company in Los Alamitos) so much!
Hah! I was wondering about the tarter sauce. Thanks for reading my mind.
I’m Mc-loving that hack!
It’s more about noting that some employees are unprepared for this kind of request than any complaint of inconvenience.
Your own round egg?
No, you can ask for a round egg on any McDonald’s sandwich now that breakfast is served all day.
Oh the possibilities. I see a thread drift coming.
I don’t care for their eggs so never get any of those.
