With the exception of Night+Market Song, it seems everybody uses the the boring breast. Anyone know of more enlightened restaurants using the thigh around town?
I am so with you on the superiority of dark meat for fried chicken sandwiches! Guerilla Tacos definitely uses dark meat in the fried chicken torta. Pretty sure Plan Check does, too, in the Southern Fry sandwich.

Pretty certain that Plan Check doesn’t.
I believe they used to. Maybe the sandwich changed with the new owners?
You might want to double check because several Yelp reviews corroborate my recollection:
I will check and post accordingly. But the last time I had one there, after the original chef left, it was so dry I decided I would never order it again…
I had a bad experience with it as well. Can’t really recall if the meat was breast or thigh because there was so little of it. 3 tiny pieces cobbled together to make a sandwich with a lot of batter. It was pretty disgusting. Too bad because I used to really enjoy that place.
There’s one at Blais’ Crack Shack, but I’m not sure I would recommend it.
Just had one today.
Yikes! Now that you guys mention it, I don’t think I’ve had it since Uchimura left.
Probably best to keep it that way. I went within the last year and the thing was damn near inedible. So salty. And I’m not sensitive to salt. Can’t see myself going back by choice.
