Just went this past week and the menu and experience is very different from the opening menu. Much more outdoor patio seating and the menu is no longer just replica of Holy Basil DTLA with few specials. Many new dishes and much more seafood focused and only few items recognizable from the DTLA location. All these changes are def. for the better as Deau and team can be more creative and flex all the hard work they are putting in.

unfortunately didn’t take a snap, but we got the whole fried rockfish, grilled giant prawn, cuttlefish larb, raw scallops on the half shell, short rib curry…

some others we didn’t get steelhead crudo, duckbreast…softshell crab…

@hppzz Will they take reservations for a banquet-style meal? This would be fun to do with friends.

delicious lunch at holy basil. the special crab fried rice is so good we ordered two.

The old version of their wings, sauced with some sort of tamarind green peppercorn chili concoction, were for me the best wings in LA post OB Bear. Still annoyed they cut them from the menu lol.

Highlights the steamed glass noodles, shrimp curry, stir fried chives, crab rice.

Aside from everything being delicious the only other feedback is using the thin mifen noodles for drunken noodles which I have disliked on both visits. Forgot to provide that to Deau when we saw him.

my dish of the lunch. I am obsessed with Garlic Chives and this was perfectly done.

We discussed it internally but only mentioned the chicken. I also did forgot to mention it the first time I had the drunken noodles. Porky throwing ppl under the bus :rofl:

Could not agree more, I recently went to the DTLA location (for to go) just so I could get the wide flat noodles and they accidentally used the thiner noodles instead.
