HA!! I KNEW IT!!! I just never had absolute proof. But yes, every indication including the taste and amazing texture said it was what i used to pick up myself. I was so giddy when I first tried it. Highly, HIGHLY recommend (In addition to Bristol’s awesome e-mail Coupons!)

How fresh is it? You really want to eat that stuff within 48 hours.

The best. But sometimes can still be expensive like when its BOGO for something like halibut.

I’ve not had an issue with flavor or texture when I bought it in store vs. picked up at the factory. Also, Gioia is more ropey than creamy, which is what I prefer… but maybe also gives it a little bit more margin of error if you are expecting a sweet creamy flavor.

I know I have bought it having good intentions to eat it all quickly. Within 3 days it’s quality does suffers a lot. It’s very apparent.

I’d defer to @Dommy.

I live close enough to hit the factory store for all of my mozzarella needs.

How nice for you! (said in a high-pitched, jealous tone)

I’ve never purchased from the factory, so I can’t compare, but we’ve always been very happy w/ what we’ve gotten from Bristol Farms. We generally eat it the same day of purchase.

Don’t remember where you are but the Milk Farm, https://milkfarmla.com/, carries it fresh each day. Plus they have an incredible grilled cheese.
Eagle Rock is undoubtedly less of a drive.
Good people, great selections. Highly recommended!

Have you ever tried Ortiz? I order a case every couple of years when it’s half off.

Bruschetta tonight. @PorkyBelly’s Gjelina crostini was still on my mind so I added anchovy too.

Pan fried sliced Rockenwagner baguette, topped with a variety of fresh tomatoes from Valdivia Farms, heirloom garlic, basil, parsley, chopped anchovies, drizzled w/white balsamic vinegar, champagne vinegar, fruity buttery olive oil (Jenin), cracked black pepper… I think that’s it.

I have. It does not compare to Katys at all. I can’t order anything to my home or office at the moment…. But my second favorite is La Brujala which I can get around town pretty easily.

They both sound terrific and it looks like I might be able to get the latter here in Seattle.

Nice where did you get your bincho?

I have used binchotan from toiro in LA but it’s complete garbage. the good stuff is from korin. it’s very expensive and typically requires a pre-order since you’re pretty much competing with everyone in the US to get some, but it is worth it. this is kishu white jokomaru.
