$16 vs. $27? What world do you live in?
Yet a chicken sandwich is $22.
No review yet? I waited longer for Jonathan Gold’s lists.
The “Palais Royale” served with fries is $23
The Cheeseburger Deluxe is $27
That seems like the real comparison
We are talking Maine vs one of the highest cost of living cities to be fair
I already answered your question for that non-existent review. Stop the deflection.
I live in a world where I stop at The Habit for a Santa Barbara Char and a drink, and it’s $17 for fast casual. No fries.
A world post-Covid, where I am thankful that passionate people still care enough to serve me good food.
If they can treat their employees with dignity, I’ll pay whatever that costs.
Stop being such a dick or you’ll be banned from the site and won’t be able to post your promised review.
Which is taking so long you’d better post a photo of a dated receipt
But is M&H’s cheeseburger a single patty vs. Palace’s two?
If so, the right comparison is Palace’s $16 for a regular cheeseburger with fries vs. M&H’s $27.
The place is mid. I will post a review and go into EXTREME detail on why the meal and service was shit and possibly the worst value in LA dining today since this loser “Josie” is being such a whacko. I didn’t want to go so negative but now they’ve pissed me off. Probably tonight or tomorrow.
Still waiting.
a delicious patty melt btw with generous portions.
One more rude post and you’re banned. Go ahead, make my day.
Having just been to Maine, I will say that you can’t just look at what the locals can support. They get A LOT… A LOT of visitors from NYC and other are HCOL areas and often it’s them who are visiting and keeping these places alive through out the year. Maine is touts itself as Vacationland for a reason.
i dont doubt it but I think some flux in pricing between Maine and LA is normal especially for a pricy hood like larchmont (I can say that and also believe them saying M&H is for everyone and accessible to be at odds with each other)
it looks like a single thick patty or two patties stacked but a burger and tallow fries I’d be willing to try for $27
there’s a photo on the google photos page for Max and Helen’s
*Charter Oaks is currently listed at $28. The fries on that one are amazing tho
I went simple because I do think they are trying their best. And not going to let 1 rude poster cloud my objective view of the place.
Did you find a photo of the cheeseburger somewhere? I can’t.
That is a big-looking burger patty.
