Where in LA or OC can I get a bowl that approximates what it tastes like in China? I know Chongqing Special Noodle sells them, but it doesn’t seem to be a star item there. All leads appreciated.
Number 33 at Chong Qing Special Noodle, but it’s not as good as the ones I’ve had in Chengdu unfortunately.
ive had the laowai noodles after having had the exact same craving from watching that same video - they did not satisfy it at all.
i also did not manage to find any adequate option and only got over it by mentally bookmarking it as something to go to szechuan for and then forgetting about it….
