Yeah sounds like the Chick Shack is where the goods are at.
Not the weekend, but I took my wife out for her birthday last night to Taco Maria. The only pic I got was the menu. We did our usual; we ordered one of everything and shared. It’s hard to pick standouts, everything was amazing, but the smoked sturgeon fish taco and the scallop were so so good. Beyond the food, Chef Carlos always makes us feel welcome and even insisted on a hug from the birthday girl. Bonus was sitting next to and chatting with Guerilla Tacos’ own Wes Avila.
one of the finest chicken sandwiches I have ever had at that price point.

[/quote] Drats! Foiled again. Me neither.
I had to take care of some business on Hill St. yesterday. I thought “Great. I’ll finally try Howlin’ Ray’s.” On the way I rescued a little dog who was hit by a car. Took him to my vet, who coincidently was his vet too. They patched him up and reunited him with his owner. Happy ending for the pooch. But for me, still no Howlin’ Ray’s!
You are emersed in good karma - what ya gal!

Sawtelle Japantown: Sushi Tsujita’s bara-chirashi, platinum edition…
Finished off by kasutera-style tamagoyaki AND a shot of chilled yuzu juice. Boss.
i’d take that over any poke bowl in the city, but you didn’t hear that from me.
