Dinner tonight at Kaito Sushi in Encinitas
Opened with some sake while we waited for all our party to arrive.
Cool presentation. The glass is put in the box and the sake poured to overflowing and until the box is to the rim. Drink the sake, then drink the sake from the corner of the box. If the box has any kind of embellishment on it, the embellished side should be away from your mouth
Miso soup…soft and comforting.
Then then came the main event…sushi
2 kinds of tuna, shrimp, Spanish mackeral, uni, salmon roe, halibut, octopus, anago (saltwater eel) and tofu.
Rice brewed beer to accompany the sushi
We also had wakame salad, a version of karaage chicken, gyoza and a pork katsu donburi. Forgot to take photo of those.
