“Some hae meat and canna eat,
And some wad eat that want it,
But we hae meat and we can eat,
Sae let the Lord be Thankit!”

Beautiful photos.
does anyone know if the bar ever gets crowded to capacity?
Went for a pre Hayato bang bang at 6pm two fridays ago. Two people were there when we arrived. The another two arrived shortly after. So that filled up the bar (Sits 7-8). We stayed for about 25 minutes. Not sure how long people typically stay for.
Man that Milk Bread is something special. We also got the Crab gut fried rice, my friends said it was pretty fire. But their cocktail game, WOO! one of the best in town.
a kato-shibumi bang bang is perfect
calpico cobbler
sea urchin donut, iberico ham, brown butter
crab fat rice
milk bread, butter
grilled kurobuta pork jowl and magic myrna potatoes; steamed black cod and hokkaido uni with ankake sauce; tsukemono
matsusaka wagyu, roasted carrots
WAIT A MINUTE. Did you get all that from Kato’s the BAR menu??? OMG. If that’s the case, that is so totally going to be my dinner plan soon!
Ah. Thanks for the clarification. And thanks for the menu photo, I was wondering what was on the bar menu. Looks like a future pre-Hayato warm-up!
Not recommended. Other than heavy notes of vinegar and salt, I couldn’t taste anything else.
On the other hand, pre-bang at Mori was .
House-made mochi with kinako powder and Okinawa black sugar.
Too bad. I like crab fat things.
I went with a couple chefs last time and they really liked the crab fat rice. I didn’t try it so just in their word. Maybe dish variance? Dunno
Could be. How was your crab fat rice the other night @PorkyBelly??
Maybe dish variance or simply preference. e.g. I LOVED Majordomo’s Dungeness Crab Mafaldine with crab fat. Chowseeker1999 on the other hand wrote 3 paragraphs on hating the dish lol.
a bit salty
