wait, no more lunch? that was quick. there was no way being open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner was sustainable.

There was a few weeks where they opened at 6pm every day except Saturday, but then went back to 5:30 across the board

it was dead when i went there for lunch on a weekday. like, 4 tables including me and nobody at the counter or bar. it barely felt like a functioning restaurant. it wasn’t clear they had considered small points like: how do the customers get napkins and utensils (which weren’t on the table)?

some new to me updates to the dinner menu, it’d been a few weeks since I’d stopped in at night. Some solid combos to build

smoked wild salmon bruschetta & its roe, wild fennel vinaigrette

Scrunched these up for some one-biters, thought about ordering another round.

cali-prese 2010 with eighteen-hour tomatoes, stracciatella, honey vinegar & basil

They sent this out. Cool as I hadn’t ordered it in a while. New set to me with the larger marinated, peeled and sliced tomatoes.

heirloom melon salad, pistachio, tangerine agrumato & herbs

coulda enjoyed just the herbs dressed in agrumato. From here on out I drank red Burgundy.

prawn cocktail, momotaro tomato & kizami

These were a late addition as I kept thinking they’d go great with the bianca pizza. And yeah they totally were.

bianca, garlic, pecorino romano, olive oil, lemon, basil

I should have ordered this for the start of the meal and enjoyed the pizza throughout :sunglasses: it woulda went with everything

molten chocolate, coffee ice cream & hazelnuts

Lovely, prepared me for the walk home, always love coffee ice cream

got @butteredwaffles’fluenced.

peach mostarda is back. new off-menu crispy roast chicken with a “broken salsa verde” and croutons. the chicken was quite good, crispy skin, perfectly cooked and juicy. croutons soaking in the jus were delicious. i didn’t care for the “broken salsa verde” too licorice-y, i’m guessing from the chervil?

prawns were really good too but would stick with the best in class oysters if having to choose.
