@TheCookie, @Bookwich, @attran99 I’m so glad you enjoyed your dinner and got to try one of the last ducks. thanks for your great thoughts on that dish and others. It never occurred to me the sweetness was coming from the date puree but now it makes sense. Now imagine that duck dish topped with lobes of seared foie gras like it was before the damn ban.

I’m glad alan was able to “convince” the server to get you some bs fries. I may need his services to convince some restaurants to serve me some nodoguro.

Majordomo - Chinatown

Went to the lunch preview on Sunday, here are the mains. There was 4 of us and we ordered all the mains (small) Overall it was good, the seafood boil was a little hard to eat since you have to take off all the glasses and tableware so they can lay the paper down. Then they had to do the same thing when you finish, they’re still trying to figure it out. We got the curry seafood boil. They provide gloves since it can get messy. I liked the whole fish best, it was striped bass and was pretty subst…

Sorry I did read the review of the preview. I think I may have unintentionally forgot about the review bc we want to go to lunch and your reviews were lukewarm at best. Hopefully the food at lunch service has improved especially the fried chicken.

Lunch didn’t reach the height of dinner but it’s still good.

But it was all in fun. He kept teasing us, saying it was a surprise and they hadn’t decided whether we were getting them or not. He was a fun waiter.
