Where are you reading that?
thatās what i got from reading the menu, $45 per person + 1 entree minimum per table.
@PorkyBellyās correct. I sorta misread/skimmed through the part where you said itās still $90 even if you order one entree.
if itās like their set menus for large groups pre-covid, portion sizes for the set items all depend on your group size.
for a group of 2 i would think you would get one of each bing, for a group of 4 you would get 2 of each, etc.
weāve had the big group dinner and they always give enough for the size of the group.
That really doesnāt sound like much more than an amuse bouche for some of the gluttons around here!
Iām not mad at them or the $300+ Providence Tday Dinner, especially after the generous En Voyage offerings, but I canāt do it. Weāve had our fun. Your meal looks terrific though @PorkyBelly. Love, love Majordomo.
Eh I would have to disagree with that interpretation, the writing is ambiguous.
āThe menu starts at $45+ per person with your choice of entree, priced by the item. Supplemental items such as additional bing, pasta, and beverages available for purchase on site.ā
āEntree (select min. 1 entree per table)ā
No where does it state that itās $45 a person + entree. Just depends on how you interpret the word āstartsā I guess. No point in quibbling I will find out when they call me to confirm my choices as we are going saturday. Will report back.
Well that makes a total difference I did not see that on the resy app. If so @PorkyBelly and @moonboy403ās interpretation would be correct.
Was this posted on their website?
Seems like the ā+ā in the prices means to add them. So if two people got the chicken the total would be $168. Thatās roughly what it would have cost a la carte.
itās on their menu page
Fair enough I did not do enough sleuthing. I only looked at the resy app when I made the reservation.
Looking at some old menus:
bing board 32
tomato salad 16
bounty bowl 16
stuffed peppers 14
Add the dessert and thatās about $90.
You mean $168? $45 + $45 + $78. The entrees are priced individually and not per person.
If two people got the bass it would be $148, chicken would be $168.
Just scanning this thread, Iām thinking David Chang is either using A.I. or some whiz-kid theoretical game theory mathematician to maximize the power of his customer wallet vacuumā¦
Easy work for some data analyst with access to POS data and Tableau.
Doesnāt the whiz kid in your office do the same with co-pays?
Canāt afford any whiz kids, gotta pay to keep my staff employed and buy adequate PPEs during the pandemic. Gimme some of your magical isotopes so I can become Dr. Manhattan, dude.
