The Pub at North Coast Brewing in Fort Bragg. I did not get a photo of the excellent onion rings, best I’ve had since Kronnerburger closed. Fish in the fish and chips was pretty good but the french fries are not very good. Clam chowder was (like two or three others we tried in town) potato soup with some clams. Nothing else was very good except the beer.
“Nachos” were ridiculous. Not hot, no cheese (!), which I guess they tried to compensate for by drenching them in crema. What the fuck? They also have another version with raw tuna.
Old Rasputin on draft is glorious.

White Russian with Old Rasputin. Better then the regular cocktail.
Nachos were hot with cheese. Not great but OK. Would have been better if hotter. Old No. 38, forgot how good that is.
Old No. 38 ice cream made by Cowlicks. Very good. Tasted blind maybe I’d have guessed malt?

Princess Seafood. Probably the best seafood place in Fort Bragg. They have their own boats and a fish market down the street. Weird hours. Nice selection of draft beers, I drank Pliny.
Blackened salmon rice bowl, good. Clam chowder (New England style) was very good, not potato soup like the other places in town we’ve tried.

Piaci’s pizza reminds me of Cheeseboard’s, thin and crackery. Good toppings but that doesn’t make up for the flavorless crust. Excellent draft beer selection.
Pork belly pesto seemed undercooked and the toppings tended to fall off.
Boonville Distillery. Thursday-Monday it’s New American or something like that. Tuesday & Wednesday’s it’s Libby’s (Mexican), which used to be down the road at what’s now Jumbo’s Win Win. The Distillery itself used to be the Anderson Valley Brewing brewpub.
Freshly fried warm chips and onion dip. Why don’t more places have chips & dip?
Black cherry margarita with house tequila and Filthy cherry syrup. Excellent. The house vodka spritz was also very good, refreshing on a hot day.
Variation on a Cobb salad with jicama, cucumber, spinach, radish, pickled onions … good on a hot day.
They called this a blueberry tart but I’d call it a galette. Ratio of pastry to fruit was a bit high for my taste but otherwise delicious. Excellent ice cream.
Good place, friendly service. I’ll probably go back to try the fish & chips. And for Libby’s Mexican.

They substituted peaches for melon. Delicious. Best peaches I’ve had this year (Rio Oro? from someplace on the way to Ukiah?).
Excellent Beaujolais to go with the steak. Would have gotten the local Carignan but it was over 14% ABV.
Beans were a little undercooked, otherwise excellent.
Ice cream, lemon curd, meringue, very tart plums, whipped cream, bee pollen. Nice.
Nice outdoor seating, friendly service, modest wine markup (2X undiscounted retail), overall very good vaue when you’re used to Bay Area prices.
