Better than I expected, though I’m not sure how much that means given my low, low expectations and borderline hostility.
The proteins are all quite tasty and not overcooked. Chicken quesadilla was probably the best, burrito is rice heavy though for some reason didn’t bother me. Falafel taco was a miss and so dry (did anyone see Esparza’s insta diatribe about the drying effects of cotija recently lol?)
Service was great and organized it should be noted. I would eat it again, but for this category, middle eastern fusion lunch, I’d probably rather the chicken pita at Kismet and definitely the lamb brisket pita at Saffy’s.
Maybe only speaking for my obnoxious hipster self, but I think it’s because, out of love and respect for Mini (and how genuine, warm and hardworking they are), most of us don’t wanna say that it’s a ghost kitchen, college takeout level concept a full 15 years post Kogi.
