Mimì alla ferrovia- napoli

It’s really typical napoli local food made real nice.
Honestly one of the best rustic meal I ever had. Everything was going well until chef yell at the staff and literally try to kill him  it was holiday in Italy so it was insanely busy everywhere

I highly recommend come with group of 4 because less is only walk in option and probably going to wait very long time.

Highlight was

Ziti with tomato lardo (another pasta best ever after da Enzo in Rome) had incredible super pleasant porky flavor but light acidity and freshness cherry tomato and acidity from sauce with basil and cheese was just chef kiss. Another oh my god moment pasta

Stuffed bell pepper

Polpettone al ragu

Stick to traditional menu. Tried octopus with kimchi and wasabi aioli. I wish I go back to the time and order baccala

Returned to Mimi alla ferrovia

This time It was not crazy like April because no crazy holidays. Very pleasure experience and chef actually remembered us.

we agree everything was delicious to incredible but ricotta with tomato jam and nuts was pure happiness. Texture was perfectly dense but airy and dissolve like cotton candy and super nice milk flavor balanced with not so sweet tomato jam. This one is probably most simple but satisfying. Perfect balance texture, temperature, seasoning.

ragu genovese ragu bao was very good too not dry super super flavorful with incredible anchovy mayonnaise? With bao that was super light and dissolving texture was perfect together with ooey gooey gelatinous flavorful ragu.

trattoria trippa in Milan, trecca in Rome, Mimi alla ferrovia in Naples are gem.

must visit.

Always try appetizers, ziti lardita, gnocchi (this season was zucchini which was pretty amazing)

Unfortunately we never tried their main course or dessert because we get so full after pasta. Maybe next time.
