Monsieur Dior

not really for me, but it’s a missed opportunity if they don’t have the “l’oeuf Christian Dior” a la Prunier. Jean Imbert at Plaza Athenee and Yannick Alleno’s Monsieur Dior both have it. better yet, they should sell slices of tarte tropezienne ala Brigitte Bardot.

I wonder if Sean MacDonald (formerly Bar Monette) is going to be In the kitchen there. IIRC he’s been working with Dominique Crenn

no

Looking forward to it. I’ve enjoyed her restaurants going back to when she (briefly) used to be the chef at Abode in Santa Monica.

ordered ooe and surprisingly i didn’t hate it. everything was very good, flavors were well balanced and light. even the simple looking salad was delicious. scallops and abalone were the highlights, we ordered seconds.

if they can keep the consistency they’ll get a star.

So it’s not a cash grab? Good to know. I rather scoffed at it when news first came out.

Everything looks lovely.

How’s pricing there??

First it was Gucci and now it’s Dior. Waiting for Pizzeria Prada and Chicken by Chanel…

It’s presumably as good as Crenn (who currently has four Michelin stars) thinks it needs to be to put her name on it.

This is the second Monsieur Dior. The chef of the one in Paris is Yannick Alléno, who has 16 stars.
