Correct!! We are thrilled to have them a short bike ride away and they will be one our regular stops before LAFC and ACFC games even though it’s in opposite direction of us.
I am a huge pan pizza fan, but what impressed me the most was how good their regular pie was. Look forward to ordering from them for parties and away games!
They also are a great addition to that plaza and stretch. Already we love Kim’s, Tak’s, Earle’s and Orleans and York in that complex. On MLK and Colosseum there is also an awesome newish French bakery, Varsity Bakers! Will post about them in the croissant post.
I liked both equally which says a lot because I am more of a square person. The crust on the round was excellent and the sauce really came through better on the thin crust. Will likely continue to get one and one.
Nice! Danny Boys does an excellent basic cheese slice. It’s anything but basic and I love that they have shakers of oregano and garlic powder to further amp it up!
#2. You sure you never get slices from them? Haha, yes it is The Coop! what a spot, it’s been there since 1968 and still slingin pizza from that little eh.. coop. owned by a nice couple now!
I get whole pizzas from Coop usually so I know their pizza well, but the reheating on the slices does change appearance and slices come from a larger pie than we’d normally get.
I live right by there, and once Sei opens my waistline is in danger.
Replying to my own slice - it’s from Brooklyn Ave Pizza website
It’s on Cesar Chavez at Mott St.
Menu - I tried to be cute pointing out the “cesar” salad but I don’t think anyone would ever pick up what I was laying down. Note that all the menus have the name change in the salad section.
Not pictured: our order of papas - wedge cut fries. They’re good. All in our dinner with veggie pizza with vegan cheese; cesar salad; order of papas; and one aqua fresca with slightly over 20% tip was $50. Good deal.
