Name That Pie (or slice)!

Correct!! We are thrilled to have them a short bike ride away and they will be one our regular stops before LAFC and ACFC games even though it’s in opposite direction of us.

I am a huge pan pizza fan, but what impressed me the most was how good their regular pie was. Look forward to ordering from them for parties and away games!

They also are a great addition to that plaza and stretch. Already we love Kim’s, Tak’s, Earle’s and Orleans and York in that complex. On MLK and Colosseum there is also an awesome newish French bakery, Varsity Bakers! Will post about them in the croissant post.

Did you like square or round?

I liked both equally which says a lot because I am more of a square person. The crust on the round was excellent and the sauce really came through better on the thin crust. Will likely continue to get one and one.

Sak’s was one of my faves. I remember cutting out their coupon in the Daily Bruin. I lived on a steady diet of Sak’s, Lamonica’s and Falafel King.

(It’s Danny Boy, which somehow we just visited for the first time after the championship celebration)

What a win!

Nice! Danny Boys does an excellent basic cheese slice. It’s anything but basic and I love that they have shakers of oregano and garlic powder to further amp it up!

I get whole pizzas from Coop usually so I know their pizza well, but the reheating on the slices does change appearance and slices come from a larger pie than we’d normally get.

I live right by there, and once Sei opens my waistline is in danger.

Peep that cesar salad beneath.

Here’s that pizza - it’s a veggie with vegan cheese

Replying to my own slice - it’s from Brooklyn Ave Pizza website

It’s on Cesar Chavez at Mott St.

Menu - I tried to be cute pointing out the “cesar” salad but I don’t think anyone would ever pick up what I was laying down. Note that all the menus have the name change in the salad section.

The pineapple and cucumber aqua fresca. The presentation was nice and I greatly enjoyed the dried fruit garnish.

Not pictured: our order of papas - wedge cut fries. They’re good. All in our dinner with veggie pizza with vegan cheese; cesar salad; order of papas; and one aqua fresca with slightly over 20% tip was $50. Good deal.
