Look what turned up on my YouTube feed this afternoon! The Perfect Sourdough Pizza (Bread Porn) - YouTube I didn’t watch the whole thing, but figure you could apply any technique tips to your situation without having to do a sourdough.
Good luck!

YouTube has a feed? Jesus. Like I need more encouragement to go to that site.
Its not exactly a feed, but every time you log in different channels show up on your home page depending on your interests. As you can guess most of mine are cooking, with a lot of backpacking and dogs making up the rest.
I don’t think I was aware of YouTube having a home page, either.
Are you registered with it? If you are they give you a few icons down the side when you go to the page. My daughter registered me a few years ago, and what with being locked down I started perusing it a bunch more. After a few weeks I got a menu at the top listing my “interests” and started recommending videos.
I do have an account, since I uploaded a few things, but I only go there via links to specific videos I want to watch.
About what I was like until I got stuck here. Working in the entertainment industry I don’t care for TV so I got into YouTube.
My YouTube home page has 90s dance-music videos, Golden-Girls related videos, and Maangchi (which is interesting, b/c I only watched 2 videos after @ebethsdad’s dad linked to one!). What does that all say about me?
You like to dance? You’re a big fan Of the Hallmark channel? You like Korean food? YouTube’s algorithm is a bit random?
It often recommends anime videos…I’m 65 years old, and I never liked Godzilla movies. I think they need to polish their math.
Youtube got me mesmerized with rural mountain village life in Sichaun with Li Ziqi (AKA 李子柒 - I stumbled onto her and became a fan when she had less than a few thousand followers - she’s blown up “just a bit” since then…). ![]()
Yeah, though the beautiful set dressing (increasingly more refined of late) and high production quality indicates some serious financial backing now, the final product videos still retain their original grass-roots nuance nonetheless. These bucolic, rustic vignettes transport me a million miles away from L.A., to where the ingredients are sourced from her backyard and mountains beyond… And her grandma is probably related to Porkybelly.
I can’t stop watching the lockpicking lawyer.
Have you seen her neighbor in Yunnan yet? https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCQG_fzADCunBTV1KwjkfAQQ Same mesmerizing pastoral life.
You mean Dianxi Xiaoge ( 滇西小哥 )? Yes! But I still appreciate the back-to-before-modern-convenience, time-capsule “feel” of LiZiqi just a bit more.
Undisputedly, there’s a whole lotta farming goin’ on…
I will have to check out more of LiZiqi. I have only watched a couple of hers.
