Nopa (SF)…

Quick solo dinner at Nopa first time visit and though it was just a relative quick dinner, it was overall a very good first impression with good dishes and a nice seat directly in front of the kitchen

Seat with a view

Warm marinated olives

Fried local anchovies, lemon and green olive aioli - nice anchovies - the batter was good a bit too thick and overwhelmed the dish

Country pork chop, wilted greens, strawberry mostarda, walnuts

Chocolate budino, strawberries, cacoa nibs, earl grey shortbread, white chocolate yogurt

Another visit to Nopa - the kitchen counter is still the best place in the restaurant. The warm olives are great but what really shines in this dish is the house-made fresh bread to sop up the oil. The constantly changing flatbread was also great and trying for the first time their “famous” burger, it’s obvious why it is one of the top ones in San Francisco

Warm marinated olives

Chicories, roasted cauliflower, pimenton croutons and pecorino

Flatbread of Nopa bacon, delicata squash, karinata kale

Country pork chop, potatoes, pink lady ape sauce and mustard vinaigrette

Wood grilled cheeseburger, pickled onions and french fries

Pink lady apple tarte tatin, spice cookie crumbs and wild flower honey ice cream

Another visit to Nopa - currently one of our favorite casual restaurants. Not sure if it is a good or bad sign that the chef at the pass starts to recognize us. We are slowly eating through the menu but dishes like their burger are a great repeat.

Wood baked gigante beans, breadcrumbs, oregano pesto and feta

Flatbread of tasso ham, spring onion, collard rabe and horseradish

Wood grilled cheeseburger, pickled onions and french fries

New York steak, grilled favas, dried cherry mostarda and red wine demi-glace

Rhubarb galette, huckleberry honey, strawberry, almond frangipane and vanilla bean ice cream
