Tita’s Pupuseria in Buttonwillow, across the street from the Arco (which has some of the cheapest gas). I got a pupusa de jalapeño ($4.25) because I’d never seen that before. Excellent but next time I’ll get loroco and/or pork. Curtido was acceptable. If you order two pupusas for two people, tell them you want separate plates.

Fried yucca and chicharron chalkboard special ($7.50). Pork was very meaty so probably belly rather than cracking l. Very good though I would have preferred the yucca to have been cut in smaller chunks.

I ate at Taste of India (couple of blocks away) once. Food was good. I’d stop there again if it was too hot to eat outside. Vegetarian- and vegan-friendly.
