O'Brien's Bar on Wilshire and 23rd...What a sight

Stopped at TJ’s on the way home today and saw customers, real humans, enjoying drinks (and food - drinks without food are not safe) at the bar. It was so normal. A tear was shed.

What’s the mask policy at the bar?

It’s funny. I assumed (maybe incorrectly) that they were eating and drinking in the bar but not at the bar itself. I haven’t been in years but I recall there is plenty of seating and space -might be a good location for social distancing

Web site says masks required.

Didn’t see masks on the few peeps I saw.

FWIW, even Pre-COVID, a mask might have been a prudent safety measure at fucking O’Briens

I think the general rule for restaurants is that masks are required when you’re not at your table. Kind of hard to eat or drink with one on.

The sports bar (The Nickel Mine?) on SaMo Blvd. just west of the 405 was also open yesterday evening. Patron entering/exiting were not wearing masks, but, thankfully, the place did not seem too crowded (but I was driving by quite quickly).
