Work conference at the Fairmont century city. The lunch buffet is much worse vs last year when the conference was at the Fairmont Miramar.

Sneak out and hit up Ramen Ochi or Eataly at least!

Go see the Die Hard building too

This pistachio is very nut-forward in its flavor profile…

Well, at least it’s accurate…?

Agree, sneak out to try Ramen Ochi. The gelato place is pretty good, too. And the people watching at the Century City mall is truly priceless.

There’s a Massis Kebob in the food court, as well. I think you can order ahead.

A pastry from Tuscan Son or Clementine to tide you over on the drive back to the OC. I’ll mention Ludivine, as well, although I’ve only had their sandwiches (which are yummy).

LOL I just had a great breakfast at Ludivine this morning. #HappyOctober

Pizza at Eataly for snack. Very tasty but damn like $10 a slice.
Happy hour at True Food Kitchen (part of the conference so don’t judge)
Dinner at either DTF, Javier’s or Terra depending on timing and availability. I would go to Ramen Ochi if it were up to me but out with partners and work people.

Javier’s LOL.

I ate their for the first time a few wks ago (b/f watching the Alien: Romulus, which was a mess, IMHO). I was like, “How did they make such seemingly high quality ingredients so… wet and gloppy???” And why did it take forever to get for my tuna poke to arrive? Did they catch the fish after my order?

I actually want to like the food there, but…

Ramen Ochi (Century City)!!! It’s like being in Japan.

Indigo Cow is serving up delicious smooth Hokkaido Milk soft serve in Echo Park. A cup with Milk Cream + Matcha swirl, and topping (!) all came in under $8. Sugoi.

Oh! When we were in Munich last summer, I was looking up beerhalls and remember seeing references to that (I think).

Are you there for Oktoberfest?

Alright I’ve had a bunch of expensive subpar meals lately so I’m looking for a knockout in SF. I’m staying near The Embarcadero and would prefer to walk. Thinking of Maison Nico for lunch so need a dinner spot. It could be a bowl of noodles, a burrito, a raddichio salad at Angler, or anything else $ or $$$$$. What do you all recommend?

Ferry Building: Tsar Nicoulai and Dandelion.

Dine at the counter: Niku, and be sure to get the potatoes. They have a good selection of wines by the half bottle.
