Looking for some good restaurants in and around area. Local haunts and good fish would be great. Renting a car .
We very much enjoyed the Hogfish Bar & Grill, on nearby Stock Island.

I’ll be down around this area in late July and know nothing other than Islamorada Brewery, any other tips?
Wife and I were in the Keys about a year and a half ago. Most of the food is not that great and a lot of the menus (and probably sourcing) are interchangeable from spot to spot. That said, here’s what I can share:
- We really enjoyed Keys Fisheries on Marathon, it was probably our favorite seafood shack style restaurant during that trip. We got a ton of stone crab for the two of us and gorged. It was great (if you like stone crab and if it is the right season). The key lime pie is good here too. You can bring your food from Keys Fisheries upstairs to the bar next door.
- El Siboney on Key West was great for Cuban food. Kim’s Kuban was also good.
- Rhum House on Marathon was a lovely dinner spot.
- We tried key lime pie from 11 places and our top 3 spots were Midway Cafe, Blond Giraffe, and Keys Fisheries, with an honorable mention to Blue Heaven.
Aside from the above, we ate at Burdine’s, Mahina, Island Fish Co., Hogfish Bar & Grill, Lorelei Islamorada, and Herbie’s Chowder. None of these are worth going out of your way for, but they were all fine for what they were.
