Pan non-stick like

Looking for a non-stick like pan that isn’t a real non-stick meaning without pfas or other types of forever chemicals. My all clads try as I might all have small scratches on them

Seems there’s these new titanium pans seem all the rage, any one tried? Carbon pan maybe?

Maybe ours aren’t seasoned enough, but our carbon steel and cast iron are NOWHERE near as non stick as our All cCad. Actually, even other non stick pans aren’t quite as non stick as the All Clad (the All Clad stuff is amazeballs).

And if you don’t like the maintenance involved w/ cast iron, you aren’t going to like it any better w/ carbon steel. Carbon steel is a decent bit lighter, but was a PITA (IMHO) to build up the seasoning and a bit of a PITA to maintain it. But maybe people who use their cookware more or have more experience w/ seasoning don’t find it so annoying?

We get non-stick stuff from discount places like Ross, Marshalls and toss when there are significant scratches [edit: whoops, missed the part about you not wanting to use forever chemicals]. We’re pretty happy w/ our T-Fal, and it’s been decently durable thus far.

I think for eggs you really do need ‘forever chemicals’. Pretty much everything else you can use a carbon steel pan.I’ve been really liking the non stick pan from Made in. Misen makes good stuff as well and often run sales

We like our non stick Swiss Diamond - a bit more expensive but very well made and lasts forever

I have some kind of anodized aluminum? pan with no coating that seems about as nonstick as Teflon.

I really like Matfer Bourgeat carbon steel pans, but would reconsider at the price they’re selling for nowadays. If you go carbon steel, I’d recommend getting a fish spatula to pair with it if you don’t already own one. Excellent for flipping, scraping, and keeping the surface smooth.

Anyone have the misen non-stick?

Is it good quality and/or super heavy? Because the rest of my misen pans are super heavy

Any recommendations for induction compatible non-stick?

I’m pretty sure All Clad non-stick stuff is induction compatible. If you get lucky, you can find it at Marshall’s (specifically the one in West LA; I haven’t looked at other locations).

Both Misen & Made in are induction capable. Just vanity but I love the color options on the Made in non stick it’s a great pan Misen is less expensive though.

Do not buy an Our Place pan. These pans suck. The non stick wore off comically fast. I tried to make a quesadilla and the tortilla got stuck and ripped off. Never had this happen to me before. I didn’t use any oil and never had a problem the 100+ times I’ve made a quesadilla this way. Absurd.

Never heard of the brand and just looked it up. Not a cheap pan! Do they have some sort of return policy. That amt of sticking is ridiculous.

There were a few very popular cookware brands that proliferated on Instagram during the pandemic. Our Place was one of them. My wife got duped. We’ve had the pan for a few years and a few months in everything started to stick. It’s a backup pan now. We’ve switched our pan ideology to buy a good but cheaper $40ish pan every year then just replace.

If you’re lucky, you can find All-Clad non-stick at that price at Marshall’s. Heavy as hell, though.

You can find T-Fal for less at the discount places. We like ours, and it’s def survived for more than a yr, thankfully.
