My dream would be for Maude to open back up. But I know it will never happen and if it does happen it won’t be the same, because it didn’t work before for whatever reason.

I walked by today – all boarded up. I think the location is cursed and in general South Beverly Drive feels so down market nowadays. Frankly all of Beverly Hills feels on the verge of economic collapse except for of course Erewhon where there are always hordes (local and tourist) and I saw a lot of tourists today on Rodeo. But the rest of the city is desolate, the department stores empty and I read Saks is on the verge of bankruptcy so I predict either Saks or Neiman will be closed soon and that both won’t survive. Restaurants empty too. I guess a few manage to attract customers, but basically the whole town feels non-vibrant.
