FTC Pizzeria Sei Private Event

Everyone has paid and therefore this is happening! We are at capacity, but if anybody wants to join the waitlist, just post in this thread, that way if anybody needs to cancel I can help facilitate a swap.

Date: Tuesday, February 27, 2024
Time: 7:00 PM - 10:00 PM
Price: $200/pp ($150/pp, ~9.5% tax, ~20% gratuity, rounded up a few dollars)
Corkage: No corkage, no limits!
On-site alcohol purchase: Available for additional charge, paid individually
Menu: Light appetizers and plenty of pizza
Number of people: 19

Why is the event in February, not January?
William said February works better for him logistically.

Why is the event on a Tuesday not on a Monday as originally suggested?
I asked William what works best for him, and he suggested this date.

What specific food items will be served?
TBD, but William specifically said that for these private events, many of the pizzas he serves are off menu specials or upgrades to existing menu items. Part of the appeal (for me at least) is to let chef show off his pizza prowess, so I don’t think curating the menu is necessary here, let’s trust the chef.

Why is the pricing what it is?
William apologies that the pricing is relatively high. He has a small team, many of his employees already work overtime, there’s minimum orders for some of the specialty items he may procure, etc. That said, just to be clear, he’s happy to do this for us - nobody is forcing him to hold an event or to open on a day he’s normally closed.

I spoke with William again, and he revised his estimate for the number of people that can “comfortably” fit from 18 to 20. So, it sounds like we have 18 as a lower bound (I believe he would still honor 18 people at the aforementioned pricing as that’s the number originally thrown out) and 20 as an upper bound. Looks like we’re at 15 confirmed, and:

if @mzonelli who had expressed initial interest can make the date, that’s +2
if @raihan who had expressed initial interest can make the date, that’s +1
if @jlehmbeck wants to move from waitlist to confirmed, that’s +2
