So this happened last night to support Jose Andres’ World Central Kitchen to help the Southern California wildfire relief efforts. The best $38 5lb garbage plate I’ve had.

Hopefully it was full/sold out
Are you kidding. Damn.

Your tray looks like a food prop from Fargo.
Each person got that much food?
more. there was dessert as well.
considering the people involved, kinda nuts they only charged $38 per. all of the chefs pretty much showed up to serve themselves which was very impressive.
A few more pics.
forgot to take a picture of the three Salt and Straw flavors.
Luckily they had foil available to take home leftovers
Lucky!
Where were the hot insider tips about this before it was over?..
i subscribe to David Chang’s Instagram feed so i saw it there, but i couldn’t go.
It was on some of the chef’s Instagram feeds.
I got an email message about it from news@eatatpot.com, but only the evening before.
Eater listed the event.
Wait, you mean it was on that secret place called the Internet?
I was there too, lame thing was APL ran out of ribs right as he got to me and I’d say I was about halfway of the entire crowd.
If it wasn’t for a good cause I would be a bit saddened but I suppose I shouldn’t complain. Food was good all around, and I was surprised David Chang’s fried chicken was nicely spiced and moist.
Check David Chang’s IG of the group pic for rundown of the Chefs/Food.
Tried to copy pasta the link but the pic shows up
