Visiting Toronto for the holidays, I have noticed the Chinese Markets in the Markham/Richman Hills area are carrying whole Durians in the vegetable area for sale, usually about 10-15 durians. The price is between CA$10 - 13 per pound, with no relationship to quality. One has to choose carefully as it is difficult to tell if a whole durian is fresh and rip. The Durians are labelled as from Vietnam. Is there a more central or specialty store that has more quantity and/or quality of Durians? Maybe others from Philippines or Thailand? Would appreciate any info shared.
