Bummer but not surprising.

Picked up 2 slices among other baked goodies.

They were dead which made me sad because if this is what it’s like for republique imagine the rest of the food businesses out there.

The line yesterday morning was pretty steady and a good number of people picking up their call ahead or delivery orders.
I get them suspending pie/cake reservations. When I arrived, they had my pie slices, but the cake slices because it wasn’t available after my call. They had to run into the kitchen for slices and then update the charges to my credit card. Too much admin work for them.

Best to preorder the entire pie, especially the mango passion fruit or the elusive coconut key lime pie!

Just smashed a rigatoni and slice of passion fruit with my girlfriend for lunch. :crazy_face:

Did the take away chicken dinner for two. Great QPR; ton of food. Came with roast chicken, fingerlings, cauliflower, little gem salad, baguette with that soft butter, and an almond brown butter cake.

The chicken was actually a little pm the dry side. I think they’re getting their take out sea legs under them. Still, a delicious meal.

They were pretty busy yesterday, double checking some items to make sure they had enough inventory. When I picked up my order, the back table had a ton of orders for the night. And the wine sales were pretty impressive in the short time I was there.

Had the same thing tonight. Chicken was perfectly cooked this time. Way more food than the wife and I could eat. I added two pieces of the salted caramel chocolate cake. So good!!

Was here just a lil while ago on a short trip. Ordered the off the menu duck presse (they put all the innards into a pie) and large format steak, among other lovely things.

Chef came over to speak to me, and was very kind to my party. I had just met him a short while before, then came his miraculous recovery from a car accident (he’s made of steel), and he seemed in good spirits while manning the kitchen in sweat pants. The head sommelier expressed to me his pride, in the thick book of wine cellar bottles he’s acquired. The bartending team is also top notch, and I have had drinks from each one of them at their previous jobs. I do wish them all well.

People don’t appreciate how much work they put into their food. Even the handmade dinner agnolotti that is prepped and hand made during lunch hours fo all to see, while being a great show, the humble pasta maker rubbed it off as business as usual.

I walked over to République today and they’re totally preorder only. Also they open at 10 now not 9. Hope this isn’t old news to anyone.

No pastries or bread displayed even though I was there when the doors opened.

The woman ahead of me said she just wanted a loaf of bread and the server asked her to fill out some paperwork. I was running late for a conference call so wound up skipping this trip but will keep it in mind next time.

Just a heads up for anyone planning to stop by.
