so the bakery section is open? i need to procure a piece of cake tomorrow .
@Nemroz You need to book through their Tock site that @PorkyBelly supplied. It’s $9 for a spot on their calendar that includes two small pastries (I got a banana muffin and I can’t remember what else this weekend) and then you can order to your heart’s content. They’re also selling wine, cocktails, and larder items. No walk-ins as they want contactless payment.
First time I’ve seriously looked at ordering. Am I reading the calendar wrong, or can you only order for 04/15? Does Republique normally just do ordering on a specific day?
Neeeeevermind lol
They only release one day at a time, they’re closed sun-tues so that’s why wed is the next available day to order.
2! But today’s $6 slots are only gonna get you a baguette and normandy butter.
Thanks. Corrected my post…I had forgotten what I got because the box was for my parents.
Me checking tock everyday for signs of the mango passion fruit pie

The mango dependency is real.

wow. that sounds pretty amazing. I haven’t done any take out or delivery during the shut down, but I think I may have to look into this. I’ve been too busy spending 6 days a week WFH (I won’t get started on a rant about that…but the short story…painful) and I’m thinking this might be my Saturday night solo splurge if I can step away from my keyboard to make the p/u.
I wouldn’t take to long to look into it or you will be looking at a SOLD OUT message.
Actually I was so busy working today, that I only now had a chance to check it out on Tock. The meals are still available, but they are for parties of 2+ @ $56pp. It’s just me, so $112 is the starting point…that would be a bit too much of a splurge for a solo take out meal at home (for me) and probably way too much food. $56 out the door (+tax/tip) would be the right amount of food and $… oh well…sigh…
I feel like I’ve seen a rendition of this since they opened up as takeout and market only by appointment via Tock. This doesn’t seem all that new…and in my household, it would only be enough food for one or maybe two chowpups.
about fuckin time

Is a whole pie between 2 people too much? Asking for a friend.
Probably not, which is why I specifically asked another couple to split the pie w/ us. We don’t need to be stuffing our face full of pie. ![]()
I dropped in just for the pie and ended up ordering 6 items (incl black sesame bostock and… the 4.5 lb chicken!!!).
