I am making a variation of this recipe tonight. cabbage, carrots, and apple
edit: my cabbage was in bad shape, so I made this salad with carrot and apple, no cabbage! added a little lemon and vinegar, refreshing!

We eat a lot of salads but rarely follow recipes. Mostly it’s about trying to recreate favorites from LA area restaurants - the grilled vegetable salad from the Ivy, kale & lentil salad that’s not longer on the menu at Zinque, etc.
