San Gabriel’s Bopomofo Cafe To Open at Hollywood and Highland Ovation

Wow! Bopomofo Cafe is opening up in Hollywood and Highland’s Ovation. The

idea of a SGV boba cafe in Hollywood’s premier commercial complex at Hollywood and Highland seems inconceivable. Yes, Bofomofo Cafe has an unparalleled combination of Taiwanese snacks and high quality drinks. And they are in expansion mode, having expanded to Irvine and San Diego. But jumping to the complex housing the Kodak Academy Awards Theater and the TMC Chinese movie theater?

But before there was Bopomofo, the owner had started Wong Fu Productions, which generated a large social media following which resulted in a smooth transition to a successful and well deserved following for the restaurant. So opening at Hollywood and Highland might not be so crazy after all.

That is great! I love that the Ovation and Hollywood in general is coming back to life again. We totally hit up Win-Dow before heading up to the bowl

and last week on my way to an event I saw the new Bristol Farms on Argyle! I hope it does well! It’s a super convenient hop off the B line…
