SELL THE TEAM - what food to bring into Angels stadium?

Hi there, I’m going to my first baseball game of the season tomorrow, Easter Sunday. Does anyone have a favored banh mi place that’s easy? We’re coming from Boyle Heights and will have a car. One person in the dining party has a shellfish allergy and the other person has a dairy sensitivity and generally prefers egg and tofu as protein sources.

My favorite banh mi in SGV is Saigon Bakery.

Baseball talk: I hope Mike Trout has a good game and am putting in my request for a stolen base or two now. On the Mariners side, I’m excited to see Randy Arozarena. We got our 100 level tickets through a “flash” sale at $60/pp. Flash is in quotations because it lasted for hours and we were able to avoid the $9/pp service fee by just calling an agent and purchasing over the phone. Except for the quality of the stadium, the actions of the owner, and the available food and drink it’s a good deal.

Pickle Banh Mi has an Anaheim location. They sell my favorite grilled pork banh mi and have veggie options. I don’t think the dairy or shellfish should be an issue? $7.25 for most their sandwiches, which are large enough to feed a person. You can buy some spring rolls to bring in as well! Online ordering is available.

I like the heo quay (roasted pork) banh mi at Carrot & Daikon. Or you can stop by Ba Le.

From LA, Banh Mi Hoa Phat seems to be the current darling. I’ve not tried it, yet.

Thank you all - we picked up our lunch at Ba Le. One house special, one egg banh mi, and one bag of dried mango candies with tax, before tip for $20.

Saigon Bakery is still my preferred but there is sensory satisfaction about eating the banh mi in the seats and leaving a bunch of baguette crumbs everywhere. Kind of hits the same place as peanuts.

Baseball talk - Angels won in extras; save and protect Mike Trout; the seating in the stands was sparse.
