Siena Tavern, other places near The Langham

Hey all, LA family here, but my son is going to be attending U Chicago next fall, so we’re making a trip out there in a few weeks to visit. My wife and I actually met during b-school in Chicago, but at the time, we mostly ate finance/consulting presentation food, think mini canapes, pizza, etc. We’re staying at the Langham and looking for an good restaurants for the family within reasonable walking distance! I found Siena Tavern, which seems like a low-key, solid Italian joint with something for everyone, but would love to hear any more inspired choices nearby?

Bavette’s or from the same team, Gilt Bar, which is more chill but also good. They are the same team from Au Cheval as well and you can get the Au Cheval burger at Gilt Bar.

Alas… I had found Bavette’s and it looked amazing. But both were fully booked between 5PM - 930PM and we were looking for a 7PM-ish reservation. Would love any other ideas you have!
