Silly words in restaurant names: threat or menace?

I saw that earlier. I wouldn’t call a dim sum place a “lounge” and I definitely wouldn’t call it a “bistro.” I also don’t like the word “cuisine” in a restaurant’s name.

Dim sum places hereabouts have used “Lounge” in their names for at least 35 years, since a branch of the Flower Lounge chain opened in Millbrae.

Not the 45 years I’ve been eating it there. But I only ate/eat it in the city not the burbs.

Pattricia Unterman reviewed R&G Lounge and the SF branch of Hong Kong Flower Lounge 25 years ago.
