That grilled chicken bowl has my name written all over it.

review forthcoming @boourns @SithLord @bluebarb?
japanese eggplant salad - grilled eggplant, gochujang sauce, togarashi
dry tzatziki - creamy homemade labneh, crisp cucumber, fresh herbs, sumac, and dill oil
icli kofte (kitel) - silky bulgur shells filled with spiced meat, Aleppo pepper-infused butter, house-made yogurt, sumac, and herbs oil
pekmez-marinated chicken - grilled chicken marinated with turkish grape molasses, served with tomato & onion salad and pita
garlic-spiced kebab - a richly seasoned kebab made with garlic, served with tomato & onion salad and lavash bread
riz au lait - rice pudding with miso caramel and spiced pecans
I wish I would have been hungrier, but the tiny bit I had was excellent.
Chicken, kofte, rice pudding were my most memorable dishes. Kebab was well cooked and juicy too. Spicing and juiciness of the chicken made it my favorite. Happy to see them busy in that random, kinda sketchy location.
This place is very good. Quality ingredients and cooking. Exciting menu with unique flavors not found elsewhere in LA. I didn’t go earlier because I made the mistake of thinking it was just another kabob place.
More good news is that the menu seems to evolve (which is not too surprising given that there is only one chef).
wish i went here sooner. what a place
Standouts to me were the Garlic Spiced Kebab - which is prepared similar to a Lule but less compact and cooked to medium rare. One of the best (maybe the best?) kebab i’ve had in socal. It’s airy and beefy. My friend who is obsessed with Saffys/Mini Kabob/ Bavel said it beats all of them
The Shrimp with Tarhana butter was rich and savory.
Everything was really good but those two were truly great.
HIGHLY recommend checking it out. We went at 430PM for a pre bang and it was just us and a large party.
