This pint is chunky. Lots of stuff. Good flavor but maybe could have edited out 1-2 things. Maybe a little too much going on but it’s pretty good.
For those types of ice cream (dump many ingredients into it) Ben & Jerry tends to be much better
I REALLY need to find this. I might even poke my head in (yech) Whole Foods.
(Note: I have no complaints about the FOOD at WF. I just intensely dislike its Amazon-ness and its dickhead CEO.)
Is the jenis coupon still valid?
jeni’s also ships, which, having several pints of crazy fun ice cream shipped to your doorstep is one of the truly worthwhile and great luxuries of modern life! just have to clear out some freezer space…
The Whole Foods 35% off on all ice cream ended on July 20th.
Damn!
They did the old Mrs. Gooch’s on Coldwater and Riverside dirty. Had people who had worked there for decades but cleared them out and turned it into one of their weirdo automatic no checkout stores
Bristol Farms is carrying this but I haven’t found them at Yorba Linda yet. I like the idea of these adult apple sauce pockets but with soft serve ice cream instead.
Tacos 1986 in Burbank has them. Grabbed some last night and the kids loved them haven’t tried myself yet.
I got the last vanilla from a Gelson’s in the city a month ago.
You do need to thaw them about 5-15 minutes before you eat.
Haven’t been to the truck, but the pouch was pretty good.
Just tried Mavens Durian ice cream from Costco. It’s fantastic and maybe even better than the real thing
How stinky is the cream?
The heat is up and I need ice cream!
There are sales for some Ice Cream brands, such as
Jenni’s at Whole Foods for $4.73 a pint
Nancy’s Fancy at Whole Foods for $4.47 a pint
McConnell’s at Whole Foods for $3.98 a pint
Strauss at Whole Foods for $5.49 a quart
Alden’s at Whole Foods for $5.49 a quart
Buy 1 Get 1 Salt & Straw Pint for $12.99 (Magic Key Holders at Downtown Disney)
What are your favorites?
Of that list, I’ve only had McConnell’s (which I quite enjoy, depending on the flavor).
Correction: I’ve also had Salt and Straw at their stores. I don’t particularly like their ice cream.
Of that list - Jenny’s
I completely missed out on the sales aside from Salt & Straw that costs $6.50 a pint after BOGO.
Instead I got 3 from Trader Joe’s.
- $6.49 1/2 Galloon Vanilla Ice Cream
- $4.49 Quart Chocolate Ice Cream
- $3.99 Pint Strawberry Sorbet
I am surprised that a half gallon of TJ’s Vanilla Ice Cream costs less than Costco’s ($13.99 for a gallon)!
