For those who liked The Creole Chef (formerly in the Baldwin Hills mall complex), good news: Norm Theard has opened a new restaurant, only in Laguna Beach.

The food is exceptional. I tried some old favorites - the Shrimp Yvonne and his grits, which were as good as before, as well as a stuffed crab dish which was delicious.

It opened about a month ago, for dinner only. If you’re in the area, try it. If you’re an old fan of the Creole Chef, I think it’s worth the drive.

Thank you so much for posting this. My parents live in Laguna, and it is a food wasteland. So excited to try Roux!
