The fire is already out at Slow Burn 🤬

Fleischman facts from friendly Farley furnish fantastic fodder for FoodTalkCentral fanatics…

I’m very open to discussing further. This guy shouldn’t even be welcomed into restaurants much less getting VIP treatment. Time to take him down.

Also I prefer a brunello de montalcino with my fava beans and liver…

I thought an actual chef from Louisville, Kentucky with a strong background in smoking meats, etc. was brought in to develop and execute dishes?

@Looselips - Sorry you and others got roped into a nightmarish experience.

It’s great you and @HelloClarice posted here, but I’m guessing you’ll also be contacting Joe Rosenthal on IG or his website to get the word out nationally?

Sqrl’s moldy jam gate lit :fire: this site up for weeks . . . .

The chef was Allan Rosenberg. He posted some stuff on Instagram with the #slowburnla hashtag, last one on Jan. 19.

Yes, Chef Allan Rosenberg (as another user mentioned), was there and a real pleasure to work with! My understanding was that he wanted to provide food specs and actual training but kept being undermined by AF. AF presented himself as the head chef and creator of all the recipes and he overrode decisions from Allan time and again. As I said, we were all eager for AF to make a swift exit so Chef Allan and the rest of the crew could finally get to work doing what they excel at. Sadly, it seems AF took the restaurant down with him and we weren’t given that chance.

From what I’ve seen, AF always seems to partner with a real chef for his concepts, but then likes to gloat about and steal all the credit.

I saved him in my phone under ā€˜foodie f****r’ because he literally uses the restaurant as a dating hall. I fell for it (the food is still good lol) until I realized I was 1 of 3848 that got the same treatment throughout the week for a meal. I was doing some digging on why I never got an invite to the new spot and ahhhh…same story as the last few. He hypes up the spot for months, brags on the menu he developed, and then it’s gone before I can blink. He won’t give you an explanation and act cold when you try to ask what happened. Slow Burn was in development for a LONG time, and having a restaurant sit for so long is $$$. IDK who’s the investor, but it’s sure not all AF’s $. That well has been dry. I’m not here to bash his personal life, but he’s sure not in it for more than company if that means anything to anyone.

Maybe we should put a moratorium on any of Adam Fleischman’s restaurants or even giving him any business. What a douche

You are absolutely correct. The well is so dry he hasn’t made child support payments at times.

You’ll often see his various credit cards get declined when it comes time to pay the bill. Most of those cards funded by various business ventures.

He’s the Tinder Swindler of restaurants.

At the least!! Fraud and embezzlement are crimes and he’s definitely guilty of both.

Ha! So you saw a card get declined too. He even tried to pay with a California Unemployment Benefits card at a restaurant. I assumed those business credit cards are connected to other things, because at the time he had not one active business. He actively bragged on not paying rent and ā€œthe state would payā€. Sad about the child support.

He’s just an all around bad guy. Women would hit me up asking if we were in the same boat and it was surreal. Literally the same story. Come to the restaurant, constantly pressured to drink and it’s all a ploy to get you back to his place. Sucks. Guys are usually lame, but this guy actively uses his name in the industry as a tactic for women. Lame.

It would be, but it actually makes me sick to my stomach b/c real people are being hurt, exploited, swindled. It’s horrifying.

That’s not his Facebook, it’s Eater LA’s. What’s stopping you from posting a link in a comment?
