Warrior: This newish KTown restaurant that specializes in “Korean tapas” exceeded my expectations, and I recommend it. The dishes were creative, tasty, and well-prepared. My favorite dish was the truffle kimchi fried rice, which had a better socarrat than all the paella dishes I’ve tried at Spanish restaurants in LA. The “shaved black milk tea” dessert with yogurt and lychees was surprisingly satisfying. I would have preferred stronger cocktails with a whiskey or brandy base, but the place was otherwise pleasant, and service was good. It’s nice to see that the place was doing well, almost completely full, because they deserve the success.
Peony: The food exceeded my expectations. The tapas not only looked cute and Instagrammable, but also tasted creative and refined. I look forward to visiting again once they change the menu.
