a threat or menace sidetrack, but i recently had vegan pastry in amsterdam (https://www.instagram.com/saintjean.nl/?hl=en) without even knowing it, and the quality was 1) infinitely better than the vegan bakers in LA, 2) every bit as good as the best bakers in sf (arsicault, b patisserie etc).
