Vernick Fish

Well executed lovely dinner with some real surprises. They handle and prepare seafood with a lot of care. Much more flavor and inventive flavor combos than I would have imagined from a restaurant in the 4 Seasons. Drinks were excellent too.

Crudos and starters were all great. The 2 real standouts were the salmon crudo with Swiss cheese and Russian dressing. Like a Rueben. Wow. The octopus was so crispy on the outside but still snappy. Tasted like buffalo wings. Two of the best appetizers I’ve had in a while. Homemade ricotta cavatelli would fit in at any great Italian joint. A little kick too.

Mains had a little of everything. Jerk cod in coconut broth and snapper in ramen dashi. High level of execution and fun flavor combos. The highlights were actually the veggies. Zataar roasted cauliflower and those damn crispy potatoes.
