Peaches have arrived at SMFM. Regier and Juicy Fruit both brought yellow peaches this week.

IIRC we were at $6/lb last season so not crazy. Saw them this morning at Farmshop for $8/lb so that’s actually not too bad of an markup.

I grabbed two varietals from Regier but unfortunately don’t remember the names. I just had one of the bigger varietals which was a clingstone variety and it was surprisingly good for so early in the year. I’ll definitely be grabbing more on Wednesday.

Thought the market was popping today. Got strawberries from Tamai, some gorgeous snap peas from the one stand that sells pies and meat, cherries from this vendor I hadn’t seen before that was only selling cherries (maybe they were called Erickson?) Most importantly, though, I got first of the season apricots from K&K, so I can make my first apricot galette of the season.

the strawberries from gaytan were super sweet today. They sell a half flat for 20 bucks which is a deal given organic tubs at Costco are going for 12ish bucks.
We got cherries from Ken’s that were delicious and the grapefruits aren’t bad still.
didn’t find any good peaches this week but can’t wait for peach season to get underway

Ken’s only has one week of rainier cherries they were not very good.
Burkdoll yellow nectarines are delicious though stone fruit season in full effect

My god the Murray GG01 cherries are insane.
Burkart nectarines and peaches eh but plums pluots and apriums fantastic. Oranges quite good
