Hi all. It’s been quite awhile since I’ve contributed to the board but still pop in to see what’s going on here and there. I want to prepare a pasta con la sarde, and the recipe recommends fresh sardines over tinned. Any recommendations for where to purchase fresh sardines? Bonus points if the fishmonger will clean and fillet. I’m based in Burlingame.

I wonder if eataly in westfield valley fair would have it? worth emailing to see if they have ‘em.
Out of season locally. Phone any good fishmonger and see if they have them.

Thanks for the tips. I ended up using tinned sardines. I’ll hunt for fresh another time.
