Where to go when you want to be comforted?

Either/or propositions are in the war rooms of philosophers/academia. They should take a hit or two and chill over beers. And fries. Chili cheese pastrami fries.

Picked up a bottle of Sloane’s gin at Winehouse. My new favorite!

That was ether.

Knocking palm of hand to forehead.

Ether will do that.

Homeroom was a science lab - found that out too. :upside_down_face:

have you tried Ford’s?

to get Ford’s at a bar i would need to go to settebello or bacari.

cafe del rey is much more comforting, though.

in my day, in the bay area, there was an ice cream sundae delivery service called, iirc, Magnolia Thunderpussy.

since none of us had a car, this was the way to go. . .

Sounds like a cover for a James Bond arch nemesis dressed in white hot pants cleavage-revealing ice cream outfit and thigh-high stilettoes. :imp:How was the sundae?

I have not but I will be on the lookout for it now.

Magnolia Thunderpussy was only summoned when we had an INTENSE case of the muchies.
I have no idea about what the sundaes REALLY tasted like, but i can say that after having a lot of weed, they were DELICIOUS.

This is true for lots of foodstuffs.

@TheCookie That sounds about right. He said it wasn’t too far from work. I’m sad it’s gone…like an endangered species.

“Like an endangered species”. That’s a good one. But also a case of survival of the fittest. It looked pretty neglected, and in a sad little strip mall.

So down with Tito’s.

Yes, that is why I like the tamale, I get the sauce on the side. Sometimes I just order extra with my tacos. i didn’t know that’s what the chili con carne was. now i know.

High school. Pappy Parker’s fried chicken dinner and a shake at Bob’s Big Boy on Valley. Watch a movie, afterwards head over to The Hat on Garfield and pound down a pastrami sandwich and split fries with someone else. This was without “medicinal” help. I’m alternately am proud and ashamed remembering what I could eat at that age with and without “medicinal” help

LOL @Jase. I was just proudly and only kinda’ ashamedly telling my husband what kind of crazy I ate when I was young.
