This area needed decent Asian open late-ish. Wednesday at 9:15pm and it’s bustling. Good space. On the loud side. Pretty good, but pricey. Scratches the itch :+1:.

No itch for me… I wish them well, especially that they just opened before the fires. The space looks great (I am still on the fence with the kitsch), and the big 1L bottle of $3 Taiwan beer was great, but I’d rather go south 15-20 min for something else.

I went for brunch this morning - the place opens at 10AM and as we walked up at 10:05 there were multiple tables sat, adn the line was to the door. hoo eee!

The place is set up for people to order at the counter, take a number, and then bus staff brings your table the food. There were two large parties seated when we got there, and it seemed to me those large tables were ordering from their servers.
My small group had the carrot/coconut cake, the sesame banana bread, the bacon and egg fried rice, and the chicken congee.

Drinking a mug of black coffee and a yuzu highball. The highball was described as “delicious.” The carrot/coconut cake and the banana bread were both either lacking in flavor, or dry and needed butter.

I thought my congee was serviceable. I didn’t love any of it, but found it unobjectionable. If it were closer to my house, or in walking distance of someplace I frequent, I’d probably be back.

For the congee, banana bread, fried rice and coffee - approx $50.

We ordered those dishes last night as well. We also enjoyed the pork belly rice, mouth watering tofu, and wood ear with tofu skin salad. All well executed and tasty. The alcohol and merch selection was interesting and cool to peruse. The space is nice and the staff efficient and friendly. I agree with @chewchow’s take on the place.
