I’m morally against this.
Anything I can’t afford is immoral. Anything I CAN afford is unworthy.
If I were rich, overworked, and stressed out I might do it, but otherwise I’d go to Japan.
Some years back I won a stay at a very expensive spa, but it wasn’t very appealing so I sold it and went to Wilbur Hot Springs instead.

Nobu’s thing in Malibu isn’t even a traditional ryokan. No kaiseki, no shiki futon…
Whatevs.
Might be cheaper too.
